Publisher Description
TourMaker makes it easy to create custom tours of places you have visited and share those places with others so they can take the same tour. These can be walking tours, bike tours or even car tours. TourMaker is two programs in one, a player and a recorder for all of your tours. At the first menu you will choose to either record a tour or playback a tour. If you have no tours installed you will need to create a tour with the Recorder. Pictures taken by TourMaker will be at ¼ of the cameras maximum resolution with 75% compression which yields good quality pictures sized around 800x600 pixels at 100 kilobytes on must phones, which is a good size for uploads to places such as FaceBook. A full resolution picture is also available.
TourMaker uses the phones GPS system for position recording and displaying location information. The tour recorder places the pictures in chronological order on a scroll list with the newest picture on top. A comment can be added to a picture at anytime by touching the pictures status information to highlight it in green, and using the text entry box. Any picture can easily be deleted from the tour.
In the playback mode, the main screen shows a map with a blue dot showing the users exact location. A green dot can be moved from way-point to way point. The time left and a picture of the next way-pont can be displayed at any time by touching the map screen. The way-points can also show information the tour creator entered. A Slide-Show mode is available to show the way-point picture without the information in the way. Any way-point can be directly accessed so the program will provide valuable information even if the GPS signal is being blocked for some reason.
Please read the quick start manual, at www.sidewayslogic.com/tourmaker for further details. This program is well worth trying.
